The Macau SAR government has strengthened infrastructure construction in recent years, with the goal of building a livable smart city, and promoted new infrastructure projects such as large-scale public housing and medical complexes, port and light rail infrastructure, and large-scale comprehensive venues. The exterior wall enclosure structure of a building provides a layer of structural protection and decorative effects to the building form. Curtain walls and metal enclosure systems are lightweight walls with decorative effects commonly used in large buildings. Their three advantages are beautiful, energy-saving, and easy to maintain. In order to further promote the technological progress of the industry, improve the industry's own technology and innovation capabilities, effectively control the design of building doors, windows and curtain walls, develop with high quality, and maintain the healthy and orderly development of the industry, this course is specially held.

Macao is located in a geographical environment of high temperature, humidity and high corrosion. Coupled with the increasingly frequent strong typhoons in recent years, especially the impact of Hato and Mangkhut on aluminum windows and curtain walls, the training course will focus on the specifications, design, construction and testing of doors, windows and curtain walls in Macao. We will conduct an in-depth discussion on the development status and problems of the aluminum windows and curtain walls, and strengthen the industry's work on the typhoon-proof design and safety protection of aluminum windows and curtain walls. It is hoped that with the support, strength and advantages of the Aluminum Doors, Windows and Curtain Walls Branch, it will bring the knowledge of doors and windows to Macao designers, engineers and industry personnel. Sharing and researching on new curtain wall products, new materials, new technologies, standards, quality and safety, etc., to enhance the development of the industry and the technical level of engineering personnel.
