Seminar Abstract:

The seminar will deal with the topic of thinking about contemporary architectural design, and the usage of new technologies and materials, strong conceptualization, towards the balance between Architecture and the City and Architecture and Nature.

The speaker will show several examples, mainly at a smaller scale, of Pavilions built both in an urban setting, Cityscape, and in the middle of natural environments, Naturescape. These examples showcase the strategies employed or the materials used to design and build them. Therefore, they are examples of a symbiosis between built and natural environments.

The lecture will cover the sites below:

1. Architecture, Art and Nature: Arte Sella, Italy

2. Architecture, Art and City: Farm Cultural Park, Italy
