Background:

The "Inch by inch" photography competition is back! The "Inch by inch" photographycompetitions held in 2017 , 2019 , 2022 , 2023 , and 2024 have received widespreadattention in the industry (click on the year to view details) and received enthusiasticresponses. In 2025, the competition will be launched again. This year's event focuses on thecombination of architectural technology and art presented in photographic works , thepresentation of architectural design and construction, and the dialogue betweenarchitecture/space and nature, people, and life. Architects are welcome to activelyparticipate.

Submission Requirements:

1. The works should express the combination of architectural technology and art, the presentation of architectural design and construction, and the dialogue between architecture/space and nature, people and life. They should also express the author 'sinsight and imagination into architecture . The works should be healthy, contemporary and original.
2. Each participant may submit no more than 3 entries, which may be taken with a mobilephone or camera . The model of the mobile phone or camera, and the time and place of shooting must be indicated.
3. The electronic files of the photos must be provided in JPEG format, with a size not exceeding 10M . The long side of each photo must not be less than 2000 pixels. The basic shooting information of the photos should be retained. If required by the competition, therelevant original files should be provided as required by the organizer. Each work must have a title (no more than 10 words) and a simple description of the background of the work (no more than 50 words).
4. The works must be recent original works, unpublished, and must not be submitted to multiple submissions . The works can be appropriately post-processed (adjustment of color, contrast, brightness, saturation) through software without changing the original appearance of the works, but the original appearance of the works cannot be changed by using Photoshop or other techniques, such as splicing, deleting, or modifying photo materials.
5. This photography competition aims to encourage "architects to photograph architecture", so the authors are required to be architectural designers and engineers . The organizing committee will verify the identity of the authors and will not accept submissions from people in other industries. Please understand.

Selection Method:

1. The selection of works will be conducted in an open, fair and just manner, combining expert selection (accounting for 80%) and WeChat voting (accounting for 20%) .
2. The works should be able to "see the big picture from the small" through images and have strong expressiveness. The judging will be based on the originality, uniqueness, andfit with the theme of the entries .

• First Prize (1): RMB 6,000 in cash or prizes of equivalent value
• Second Prize (3 prizes): RMB 2,000 in cash or prizes of equal value
• Third Prize (5 prizes): RMB 1,000 in cash or prizes of equal value
• Excellence Award (10): 500 yuan in cash or prizes of equivalent value
• Most Popular Award (1, for the work with the highest number of online votes): RMB 1,500 incash or prizes of equivalent value
