Competition Background

The construction of the Lai Chi Vun Shipyard Area began in the 1950s, and it is the largest existing shipyard area in Macao. From the perspective of cultural analysis, the value of the Lai Chi Vun Shipyard area is primarily reflected in the shipbuilding process, the life context and village form of Lai Chi Vun Village formed by the shipbuilding industry, and the overall landscape context, particularly its proximity to water and mountains.

We are now seeking proposals for public art installations and public facility design schemes to reflect the landscape characteristics of the Lai Chi Vun Shipyard area, highlight the educational significance of inheriting the culture of Macao's shipbuilding industry, increase public participation, and capture the young generation's creative ideas.

Look forward to your entry!
